8 Verses About Gold In The Qur’an

1) GOLD IS A BEAUTIFUL THING IN THE EYES OF MAN

“The love of desires, of women and sons and hoarded treasures of gold and silver and well-bred horses and cattle and tilth, is made to seem fair to men; this is the provision of the life of this world; and Allah is He with Whom is the good goal (of life)” – Surah Al Imran (The Family of Imran) 3:14

2) GOLD IS PLACED AT A VERY HIGH VALUE

“Surely, those who disbelieve and die while they are unbelievers, the earth full of gold shall not be accepted from one of them, though he should offer to ransom himself with it, these it is who shall have a painful chastisement, and they shall have no helpers” – Surah Al Imran (The Family of Imran) 3:91

3) GOLD IS A REAL SAVINGS (AND SHOULD BE SPENT IN THE WAY OF GOD)

“O you who believe! Most surely many of the doctors of law and the monks eat away the property of men falsely, and turn (them) from Allah´s way; and (as for) those who hoard up gold and silver and do not spend it in Allah´s way, announce to them a painful chastisement” – Surah At Tawbah (The Repentance) 9:34

4) GOLD AS JEWELRY IN IN HEAVEN

“For them will be Gardens of Eternity; beneath them rivers will flow; they will be adorned therein with bracelets of gold, and they will wear green garments of fine silk and heavy brocade: They will recline therein on raised thrones. How good the recompense! How beautiful a couch to recline on!” – Surah Al Kahf (The Cave) 18:31

5) GOLD IS USED AS JEWELRY FOR THOSE WHO BELIEVE AND DO GOOD DEEDS IN  HEAVEN

“Surely Allah will make those who believe and do good deeds enter gardens beneath which rivers flow; they shall be adorned therein with bracelets of gold and (with) pearls, and their garments therein shall be of silk” – Surah Al Hajj (The Pilgrimage) 22:23

6) THE REWARD IS GOLD JEWELRY IN HEAVEN

“(Their reward will be) Gardens of Eternity; they shall enter them. And there they shall be adorned with bracelets of gold and pearls and their robes therein will be (made of) silk” – Surah Fatir (The Originator of Creation) 35:33

7) GOLD AS A RANK MARKER (HIGH)

“(If he be a specially favored one of God) why have not then bracelets of gold been bestowed on him (and thus a chiefdom conferred on him), or (rather why have no) angels accompanied him following him in procession formed in serried ranks?” – Surah Az Zukhruf (The Gold Adornments) 43:53

8) GOLD IS A PRECIOUS COMMODITY FOR THE PEOPLE OF HEAVEN

There shall be sent round to them golden bowls and drinking-cups and therein shall be what their souls yearn after and (wherein) the eyes shall delight, and you shall abide therein” – Surah Az Zukhruf (The Gold Adornments) 43:71
